The Michigan Licensed Beverage Association is opposed to the bills. It notes that, while the federal government threatened to withhold road dollars from states that didn\’t lower alcohol levels to .08 in drunken driving laws, there\’s no federal mandate to change drunken boating laws.

Great words LBA….why not back it up with some serious lobbying rather than letting the social drinkers continue to be arrested for an unreasonably low BAC. Instead you take your profits from the social drinkers and bow down to neo-prohibition groups like MADD who will not be satisfied until all alcohol is banned in this country. Get a clue
