Can you say Roethlisberger? Gentle Ben\’s mc accident, one of many that has ended or derailed an athletic career in its prime provides all the confirmation we need to put an end to this rash of irrational repeals of helmut laws. It is simply unfair to expect the taxpayer to bear the burden for others\’ foolish actions and seeming inability to act in their own self-interest. To add to the insult, I read that 50% of motocycle riders do not purchase health insurance!! VETO the bill NOW, it is the only viable option.

a helmet is to a motorcycle as a seat belt is to a car. i love people that argue seat belts are dangerous because if your crash into water you will not be able to get free and helmets cause accidents because it reduces visibility.

Every one knows that the insurance companies don\’t want to pay out to there costomers. What else would they say? BOLOGNA! Freedom of choice means more in this country! if you want it to remain free. What\’s next? does the state want divers or swimmers to ware life jackets so they won\’t drown?

Ever notice how when you tell a kid not to do something dangerous or foolish they rush right out and do it? That\’s the mentality of children and motorcycle riders who don\’t wear helmets. They have the same attitude as teenagers that \”nothing is going to happen to me! You\’re trampling on my freedom\”! What a load of bull! Just like kids you need laws to protect the stupid. And it is very stupid to ride without a helmet. This is not the freedom the Constitution guarantees! Grow up!!!

I\’d bet that MaryAnn wouldn\’t like The state to take away her cell calls while driving due to that it kills other drivers on motorcycles and in automobiles. She needs to grow up! to thing the founding fathers where only thinking about her idea of freedom. If you want a dictatorship move to cental America. Just another way to avoid responsibility.

Well you again prove my point! And by the way I rarely use a cell phone because there is very little that\’s so important it can\’t wait until you are home or at the office to call someone. And people who drive and talk on cell phones have no respect for others. Driving is dangerous when you are distracted.
