I believe I read somewhere that Allstate directs their Florida agents to lead their clients to the more expensive of the two companies for their auto coverage needs.
Even if the clients driving record is good, they are not aware they have been steered to the higher priced coverage.
Or if their driving record was poor, then cleared up, they were not steered AWAY from the higher priced company / coverage.
This practice has supposedly been going on for years.
