Fraud is a stong word to use and I NEVER use it lightly. CCC Valuescope and their partner in crime AIG Insurance recently provided me with (5) “Comps” (4) of which I discovered through my research NEVER existed!!! They prey on consumers that believe they are on par with the “Gold Standard” companies for vehicle valuations such as NADA, Kelly Blue Book, and Edmund’s. They are not independent in their valuations since they are a hired gun for the insurance companies!
They are certainly taking advantage of me. Trying to offer $1600 when I can show to replace my car they declared total loss would be $3999. Wish I knew what to do.
Does anyone know the name of the third party group that is monitoring CCC at this time or how to contact them? It seems that they would have some type of input process for consumers. I just finished settling a total loss claim in which some of the cars CCC used as comparison had been sold at auction and were noted to have “Frame Damage” when sold. I do not know how you compare a vehicle with frame damage to one that had never been in an accident before? I used the same Vin check service that CCC had used to verify the information on my vehicle so they had the ability to gather this information, but chose not to.
Please let me know who is the 3rd party court appointed entity to evaluate CCC’s practices. I just had a total loss of a car insured by Hartford who used a CCC report. CCC clearly falsified the information about one “comparable” which lowered the average significantly. I have it well documented.
Sincerely,
Randall Roe 808-823-0758
You make statements that there were burn marks in carpet false
you say cracks in Dashboard false
you say there were tears in headliner false
you say there were tears in seats false
these did not exist before the accident and if there are because of the accident they should have been part of the estimate not part of your evaluation for total loss to use that information later to devalue my car.
Also you left out items that were on my car that were factory installed and used that against me in your evaluation of my car and the comp cars that CCC used to down grade my car.
My car had 6 speed auto transmission not standard auto transmission
My car had steering wheel control buttons on it front and back side finger tip controls you stated it did not, again to downgrade my car
my car had alarm system Comp cars did not
my car had stability control extra that comp cars did not
my car had 26k miles on it 2/3 comp cars had 36k and 30k miles on them
Another item that should make adjustment necessary is that my car was in service as much as 12 months less than comp cars since my car was purchased well past the end of model year in November 2008 2009 cars were already in service 6 months or more. so my car had less wear than others bought early that year
Hello:
My name is Attorney Rebecca Brodie. I am the in-house counsel for one of the largest Auto body shops in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
While we make our money on providing excellent Auto Body work, one of the services we also provide to our customers is to help them navigate insurance claims. This includes Total Loss claims. It is through this negotiation that I have become very familiar with CCC Information systems (Valuesource, Valuescope).
I have done substantial research on CCC company but, because of the propriety nature of their evaluation program, I am not privy to much information. As such, I am reaching out to others who have brought suits against CCC to see if they have any insight / information they can share.

I’m in the middle of a claims dispute that centers on a CCC Valuscope valuation. No doubt in my mind that they commit fraud.
