N.D. Team Assesses Storm Damage

North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven has sent a state response team from the N.D. Department of Emergency Services, Department of Transportation and State Water Commission to conduct an aerial and ground tour with local officials of Bottineau County.

The team was to assess the impacts of continued flooding and damages resulting from recent severe storm activity, and provide technical assistance and program information to assist the public. Also participating were officials from the N.D. Department of Health and the N.D. Game and Fish Department.

The tour was to include flooded areas surrounding Lake Metigoshe and the city of Bottineau, as well as affected areas of other north central counties, including Rolette and McHenry. It was to focus on impacts and continuing threats of flooding to communities.

During the tour, state officials also discussed water management issues with local officials.
