As a resident of the St. Louis area I’ve lived in the City of St. Louis and various parts of St. Louis County. My message to the insurance commissioner is that he needs to spend a weekend in the City. I lived on a street where the windows were broken on a regular basis on weekends, presumably by opportunists hoping to find something in cars. This occurance is relatively rare in suburban or rural settings. Also, the commissioner should look at theft rates in the City. What is the rate in St. Louis City compared to the remainder of the state?
