MI-Assistant, a division of Fiserv FSC Inc., a solution provider in the Upper-Midwest, announced incorporation of loss history information from previous auto claims into the companies rating program for agents to properly evaluate and rate auto insurance policies with particular carriers. The insurance industry has reportedly adopted the utilization of this model to place business with a variety of national carriers.

Carriers partnered with MI-Assistant in offering mutual clients auto claims/loss functionality include Austin Mutual, Hawkeye-Security, Indiana Insurance, Integrity, Rockford Mutual, SECURA, Selective, West Bend Home & Highway, and Westfield Insurance.

According to Scott Deetz, president of MI-Assistant, “Carriers partnered with MI-Assistant to incorporate claims/loss history information are merely a sampling of carriers that will be participating in offering agents a one-step rating workflow. The number will quickly grow.” Deetz adds, “The industry as a whole can affirm that the agent, carrier and vendor must work together to make policy issuance an efficient process. As a vendor, we can provide the tools for agents and carriers to make writing insurance that much easier.”

MI-Assistant (www.mi-assistant.com) previously developed and delivered auto/home credit functionality and incorporation of MVRs. Credit auto/home, MVRs and claims/loss information incorporated into the companies rating product enables the agent to utilize one-step quoting for faster policy issuance.

The company is one of few comparative rating vendors offering integrated third party report functionality for independent agents in the Midwest. PriorityRate.com is another rating vendor offering similar functionality.
