Well, I own one of those Charges and it does still have a habit of not going into park, jumping out of park or not shifting at all. and I do think I have the intelligence to put the car in park.

I bet the owner’s manual says to set them parking break prior to exiting the vehicle. Proper use might have saved at least one life.
