CSU Team Increases 2010 Atlantic Hurricane Forecast to 10

    This is like predicting we will have a 100 major hurricanes in the next 10 years. They need to make these predictions to keep the grant dollars flowing. They haven’t been right for the past 4 years. If we haven’t seen 5 major storms by half way through this season they will just change their prediction as they have in the past. That’s what they do every year.

    Not only that, but their information isn’t actionable so what’s it’s value? You get a bunch of federally funded geeks with pocket protectors playing mental masturbation by guessing how many storms there’ll be in any given year. Current forecasting is sufficient to hunker down or evacuate. Unless these idiots can change the point of landfall, or diminish the severity, they should get a real job.
