Working with the Koreans for several years in their country I’ll predict an under darkness boarding of the oil tanker by Korean Marines whose only purpose in life is to kill the enemy swiftly, and efficiently. These guys will have no problem if allowed to board that tanker and vaporize those drug infused, money hungry, sewer smelling, bottom feeders who are mistaken for humans. After they restore order on the tanker they should be allowed to head to the Somali coast and take out the people who sent the pirates (term used lightly). Those are the bottom feeders who should be eliminated first. Napalm would work well on the leaders village.
If the Korean Marines don’t do, we should repeat our Seal performance of a few months ago. It’s time already world…get off the stick and stop this madness.

To this day I cannot comprehend why we chose to wage war in the middle east and ignore a much bigger scourge to humanity and leave Somalia alone. I agreee that the Koreans should be allowed to clean up the rat’s nest. An option would be to turn Gen. Chihuli loose on the shifting sands of Somalia and set up as glass factory.

The world talks a lot, but does not want to act. The world wants the United States to take care of the problem, but under international law the U. S cannot board a foreign flagged ship unless the country of origin allows us to board. The pirate do not understand negosiation, but action speak louder tahn words.

I had a ROK Navy roomie once upon a time- they still beat people with canes in the Korean military for offenses such as running too slow in boot camp… so I’d have to agree that the ROK Marines are probably going to get the job done in a “swift-silent-deadly” fashion.

The country and its people are in need of help. No one wants to be a pirate. Can you visualize what life would be like in this world through the eyes of a Somali? I doubt it.

“No Tolerance” you need guidance. I’m a special ed teacher, I can help you.

I’m sorry but just b/c “their country is in need of help”, doesn’t mean they can take innocent civilians hostage at gun point. Your logic of “have some compassion” holds no water here.

Do you not feel any compassion for the innocent people on these vessels that are taken away from their familes and held at gun point, all while trying to earn an honest wage rather than taking it from someone else by force? Imagine your husband was the captain of this ship being held at gunpoint. Are you going to feel sad for the people of Somalia or your husband who may never return b/c these scumbags kidnapped him, then shot him and threw his body overboard?

Get real. This country is getting way too soft.

This is not people trying to put food on the table. This is called Terrorism. Blow these scum out of the water. They have no regard for human life, so they should be treated equally. That’s the american way….fair and equal treatment for all and .50 cal rounds for the terrorists.

    God bless america.

Nugget & no tolerance; you are both so right on!
Worked with the ROC Marines in a war long ago.
They took no prisoners and the enemy was scared to death.

Very well put. And shooting the .50 is so way cool, just the muzzle flash should scare ’em.

As I said in another post about the pirates,

“There is no law that states that you cannot have a water canon on board the ship. Set that thing up, boost the pressure to about 600 pounds. Shield your operator good from gunfire and let him wash them right out of their boats. A good water canon will cut a small boat in two pieces.”

You, my dear, are pathetic. If these low life vermin were to hold your daughter, son, husband or whoever is close to you, hold a knife to their throat, rape them, torture or kill them which is what these scum are known for, I’m quite sure you would have a different outlook. Talk to them, NO, you kill them and you do it before they can harm anyone again.
    Pathetic.
