Once again after making and sending the GeoSPIRS- analysis of the Guatemala landslide last week to different landslide bloggers and News sites, we have seen a new and big landslide event in Costa Rica. This time mostly triggerd by the heavy earthquake, but also forced by the wet weather.

A Google Earth File showing clearly this area and a PDF-map with the results of the GeoSPIRS analysis of a around 400 sqkm (!!) area around the Vulcan Poas, Costa Rica is also available.
Clearly visible are a lot of big landslide/mudslide pathes. And also the present and future affected and endangered areas. The files could by requested from schubert(at)geoka.com

Further investigations and arrangements are now possible.

Don’t hesitate to contact me if there are further questions.
