    Mike is a smart, personable and inspirational leader. A very quick study and very supportive of independent agents. Look for XL to make an acquisition in the US and become a real factor in the Middle Market and National Account arena. Invest now. He will build a superior team of talented leaders. This is going to be a great story and this tock is going up. Time to jump on the XL train.

    The negative posters were probably terminated by Mike for lack of performance but you can bet he did it with class.

    Bahh. Any Safeco employees or followers recall Mike’s oft-quoted claim that Safeco would become a “top 10” insurer within five years, and a “top 5” insurer within another five years, since the larger insurers obtain greater ROE?

    Last I saw, after years with Mike, Safeco remains outside of the “top 10”.

    Growth = Value?
    Seems like XL is drinking this Kool-Aid.
