So where have these little folks been for the past century or two? They’re only taking action because of all the bad press their junk factories have received in recent months. One would think they’ve progressed far enough up the food chain to understand safety issues. Must be too busy ruminating on how to restrict the number of kids that can be created.

what American companies tell them to build. Americans provide the specs for much of what arrives here. Are there going to be communication problems? Of course. But to be in our market is of the greatest importance to them, and as such they do exactly what they are told. Some factories are already at ISO standards. One cannot get a contract to vend to a Home Depot, for example, unless the source commits to ISO standards, including child labor laws. I went to China two years ago and learned a lot.
