    Like or Dislike:
    Thumb up 0

\”Increasing the seating capacity has increased the aviation industry\’s hull and liability exposure\” – Agreed. However, the airline industry is in desperate need for increased efficiency. While Liability underwriters are quick to point out the negatives with this new aircraft, a D&O (Directors & Officers) underwriter may see the positives. An airline can create effeciency through this aircraft by reducing per passenger fuel costs, decrease the need for additional routes, etc. This economic benefit can result in a healthier bottom line – a key factor in D&O claims.

I suppose GE\’s D&O department isn\’t allowed to comment on the views of their colleagues in Liability.
