GAB Robins Adjusters Responding to Storm Claims in U.S., Mexico

GAB Robins has deployed more than 250 adjusters from its Catastrophe Response team, Executive Loss Adjusting division and national network of branch offices to handle claims related to catastrophes in the U.S. and Mexico.

“Our adjusters are working relentlessly to handle claims related to Hurricanes Wilma, Rita and Katrina, as well as losses from the severe wind and flooding that occurred in the Northeast and the recent hailstorms in Minnesota,” said Rob Meyers, president, GAB Robins Insurance Company Services division. “Our Catastrophe Response Center is receiving assignments 24 hours per day, seven days per week and we are providing services to more than 225 clients. At the same time, our offices throughout the U.S. are assisting many of our clients in meeting their local needs, as their staff has been deployed to the storm areas.”

GAB Robins has established its Hurricane Wilma catastrophe operations in Lake Mary and West Palm Beach, Florida and also will use its Fort Lauderdale office once power is restored to that area. In addition, the company has catastrophe operations for Hurricanes Rita and Katrina in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

“While our entire organization is working above and beyond to handle this unprecedented volume of claims as quickly as possible, we also are focused on providing our customers with the highest quality claims handling,” added Meyers. “To that end, we have been conducting specialized, on the ground training for adjusters to reinforce specific elements of commercial property and business interruption claims handling.”
