Everyone knows that their Lincoln General subsidiary was a sleepy little physical damage company. Kingsway bought it several years back and launched them into the truck liability business where only by the grace of Kingsway’s additional capital contributions have they avoided going completely broke.
They have essentially turned the company over to a few MGA’s around the US who have done very well while LG continues to bleed.
The claims from Katrina will develop soon enough. There are a lot of trucks underwater on the east side of New Orleans. The MGA’s just haven’t given you the bad news yet.
