AM Best affirmed the financial outlook for Sirius International Insurance and White Mountains Insurance Group Ltd, as ‘Excellent’ and stable.
I disagree, in part. There’s a major storm brewng for Sirius in Florida where the insurance regulators are poised to stomp on them. That debacle could impact the near term outlook for Sirius.
It will be interesting to see if Best really do watch events as they’re triggered, or if they wait for news to fall off the wires before deciding on which events could alter a company’s creditworthiness.
