Crawford & Co.’s Gibson to Head Chair for Global Technical Services Advisory Board

Jeffrey Bowman, president of Crawford & Company international operations, has appointed Glenn Gibson, chief executive officer of Crawford Adjusters Canada, to be the next chairman of Crawford’s Global Technical Services (GTS) Advisory Board.

Effective May 9, 2005, Gibson will assume the role from Mike
Reeves who will concentrate on the group’s Corporate Multinational Risks (CMR) unit. Gibson will continue to remain CEO of Crawford Adjusters Canada.

“The Global Technical Services Advisory Board is the governing body of Crawford’s Global Technical Services unit, which was formed two years ago,” said Bowman. “Global Technical Services offers unique expertise in high-end property settlements, with experience that embraces catastrophic and complex claims, high-value property, and casualty claims as well as specialty claims such as construction, power and engineering, oil and gas, financial institutions, product liabilities, and professional indemnities.”

The Advisory Board is made up of Crawford executive general adjusters, representing each geographical region, who work together to set the standard for services, liaise with clients to understand their market requirements, and provide a coordinated management and governance for the group’s operationalmanagers. Gibson has served on the Advisory Board since its inception.

During 2003-2004, Gibson served as chairman of the Board of Governors for the Insurance Institute of Canada, which a professional-education body for the property and casualty insurance industry in Canada.
