I think that it is good that we are able to help other countries with money, but what about helping our own country? Our children & families don’t have adequate health care and many don’t even have health care, our families and seniors pay through the nose for prescription drugs, our streets are riddled with homeless people, illegal drugs are available throughout the country. When is the USA going to provided relief to their own people? What about our own Hurricane/Flood/Fire/Tornado victims? Is our government concerned? Are they helping our own people? Why is it that everytime another country is in distress, the USA is the one who steps up with money to send them, money that we (supposedly) don’t even have? If we are so much in debt, where does this money come from? Taxpayers?

I would only hope that if our streets were riddled with the deaths of over 100,000 individuals after a major disaster that every single country’s taxpayers would step up to the plate and stop being so selfish to see the humanity of the devistation. My heart goes out to those people no matter where they live or what they earn. I have attempted to find out how to provide my own personal donations of food, bottled water and clothing to that disaster and if anyone knows of a contact person and address to send it to, please let me know.

That is a genreous offer- But in all honesty they rather have money – Not raw supplies.
