I just hope this was a joke. Lloyd’s should be aiming for more dignified business risks and eschewing frivolities.

    These are not new.

Over 25 years ago, we insured the “belly button” of the belly dancer of the play Sugar Babies with Micky Rooney.

The policy was subject to personal inspection by lead underwriter. A condition of the policy was it must be kept free from lint:-)

These policies were relatively cheap and were more for advertising than for actual risk transfer.

Right on, Josh, who needs it? Lloyds can insure anything they want to insure, just because they can.

Many years ago we insured the belly button of the belly dancer in Sugar Babies with Mickey Rooney.

The coverage was subject to inspection by Lloyds underwriters and excluded lint.
