ESIS to Introduce Global RiskAdvantage at RIMS Conf.

April 1, 2003

ESIS Inc., the risk management services arm of ACE USA, will introduce its new Global RiskAdvantage(SM) product at the 2003 Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS) conference in Chicago, April 6 – 10.

Building on the success of ESIS’ RiskAdvantage(SM) product, ESIS’ Global RiskAdvantage product is a cutting-edge risk management system for both domestic and international programs.

“Speed and flexibility are essential ingredients of a solid risk management information system foundation,” said Debbie Johnson, assistant vice president for RiskAdvantage at ESIS. “With ESIS’ Global RiskAdvantage product, users around the world will be able to access their loss information and create a wide range of reports and queries through this enhanced web-based tool. Global RiskAdvantage’s integrated features can reduce time spent compiling data and help risk managers focus on analyzing and implementing risk control, risk financing and other cost control measures.”

RiskAdvantage incorporates carrier data and clients’ internal claim data to create a combined reporting and analysis system. Its wide range of reports and queries enables risk managers to identify their best and worst locations in terms of frequency and cost of claims. Using this information, risk managers can focus on the causes, hazards and injuries associated with those claims.

Global RiskAdvantage features many powerful enhancements, such as:

Global capacity, including the ability to sort and subtotal claims by country of origin or booking country and the capability to request financial fields in local currencies;

Integrated disability information, claim notes and reporting capabilities for customers who contract with ESIS to manage their short-term and long-term disability claims, including the ability to sort by diagnostic codes, payments, advice to pay and other data elements;

Report scheduling, which enables customers to set up automatic electronic delivery of reports to brokers, internal users or other parties on a prearranged basis;

Built-in trigger notification, which will automatically notify clients of unusual activity in their claim file via email, PDAs or pagers;

Customized catastrophe reports, providing an early warning system for potentially serious and costly injuries;

A redesigned site, featuring streamlined data elements and improved navigation.

“Understanding risk managers’ needs is an important part of our strategy. ESIS works closely with risk managers to determine what they value in a risk management information system through annual focus groups and ongoing feedback,” said Johnson. “Our Global RiskAdvantage product responds to their interest in an integrated, global system that offers customized risk management data and reports.”
