That is absolutely ridiculous! Did the taxpayers pay for her fines as well? I work for a medium sized County in IL. Any person that drives an owned or leased vehicle for the County has to complete a defensive driving course every four years. The Certificate of Completion must be accompanied by a copy of their drivers’ license and personal insurance card. If one fails to comply, their driving privileges are immediately revoked.
Penna legislators get a state leased vehicle, plus $163 per diem “walking around money” and none of it is audited or even limited. You should see how once a person is elected, all of sudden, he/she can afford expensive clothes, eat at the better restaurants, get paid-for insurance and bank the state stipend, all for doing their “job”? I wonder how they do it without raising taxes? I mean leases get more expensive over the years, don’t they? Who pays for that cost of living increase? and to drive without a license too? when I got fined, and I got it twice, it cost me around $1,000 and several points on my license. I had to sit it out for several years before I could get my license back. But I’m not one of the Privileged….
