Fortunately, the information in this article is false. Do your own research and you’ll find that the dogs were out for 90 minutes early in the morning when the temperature was still in the 80’s and then brought inside to the air conditioning. There is plenty of shade, pools, and fans outside to keep the dogs cool. It’s a terrible tragedy, but this breed is genetically predisposed to such a condition even in the mildest of circumstances. The kennel staff reacted quickly with the appropriate measures and did all they could. My dog has been going here for years with no incidences, he absolutely loves it. They are caring and knowledgeable and treat each animal like their own. It’s hard when things like this happen, but sometimes there just isn’t someone to blame.

Such a shame. If the breed is genetically predisposed to such conditions why would anyone not take extra precautions?
