In other news coverage it is revealed that, after the accident, the Plaintiff returned to work at her job with a construction company in 2009. She did not become “permanently disabled” until 2010 when she reinjured her back trying to free a piece of equipment that was stuck in the snow. The insurance company correctly disputed causation. Who knows what the jury was thinking under those reported facts.
Also, the jury may have awarded $525k, the the Plaintiff won’t get more than her uninsured motorist limit.
Thanks for the information Lisa.
It really is hard to comment on cases without knowing every little fact of the case. Another piece of information I would like to know is how much the her Attorney was demanding. If they were demanding 1 million but only got a settlement of 500k which will likely be appealed I would say they still got the better end of the bargain.
