It was a tragic event and I offer my sympathies to those involved. But more regulation isn’t needed, just common sense. More than 30 people on a 34 foot boat obviously was unsafe, no matter whether there were regulations or not.
Agree w/Bob. If these parents were honest with themselves they’d ask why they allowed the child on the over-crowded boat in the first place, and why she was left alone with other children in the cabin. As far as the cause, it will be determined that the over-loading made the boat top heavy and unstable. I can’t believe the owner is trying to blame it on a wave.
