What a pathetic society we live in. EVERYTHING must equate to money. Why should anyone profit from this abuse scandal? Will money make it right? I’ll bet personal injury lawyers are smacking their lips over this since they stand to take upwards of 50% of any settlement; and for doing nothing. There’s nothing to prove. If our legal system was in fact honorable and just, it would restrict the contingency fees to 10% and let the supposed victims reap the benefits. Will this ever happen? Of course not. Our legal system is neither honorable or just. It’s big business when it comes to personal injury.

The whole idea of monetary damages is to punish the wrongdoer. It doesn’t have anything to do with equating money to the suffering of the victims.
