    Whatever happened to common sense? This guy was an adult and nobody forced him to go into a situation he should have known didn’t look right.

    I agree. I don’t see how they could have been found liable for this.

    Jester — whatever happened to empathy and compassion? Mr. Nova, an adult, in his 50’s, probably not earning tons of money delivering pizzas, is a victim of robbery and murder for a few bucks and you put the blame on him? No one forced him – that’s a fair assessment on your part, but would you refuse to do the tough parts of your job in a poor economy? Have you ever met a Claim professional who was just doing his/her job and became the victim of a crime? Would your reaction be the same if this happened to Mr. Nova, say, in a fully occupied office building somewhere? More common sense — yes, all the time. Perhaps a little more compassion as well.

    Hmm let’s see …. vacant house …. probably tall weeds ….. dark inside ….. I need to go around back …. yup that sounds like Domino’s and Deutsche negligence all over it. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    This is in the suit phase, not collection phase. Hopefully there won’t be too much of a payout (or am I being too optomistic?)
