Mr. Nova, an adult, in his 50’s, probably not earning tons of money delivering pizzas, is a victim of robbery and murder for a few bucks and you put the blame on him? No one forced him – that’s a fair assessment on your part, but would you refuse to do the tough parts of your job in a poor economy? Have you ever met a Claim professional who was just doing his/her job and became the victim of a crime? Would your reaction be the same if this happened to Mr. Nova, say, in a fully occupied office building somewhere? More common sense — yes, all the time. Perhaps a little more compassion as well.
