Slain Virginia Tech Student’s Mom Sues Security Company

    Hopefully this suit will get tossed as it has nothing to do with security. At 20 years old, this woman should have known better than to leave the safety of a concert in the first place. There’s more to this than what is known.

      While I agree this may have nothing to do with security your comment blames the victim. – Seriously?

    I remember seeing something about this on the Investigation Discovery channel a while ago. According to that program, she was told when she left the building that if she left she would not be allowed to re-enter. She chose to leave anyway. She left her purse inside with friends. She had her cell phone but no money. She told her friends that she’s find another way home. Then she chose to leave the arena – rather than wait for her friends to get out of the concert or call her family for a ride. Concerts always have a no re-entry policy. It’s to prevent people from leaving the concert to sell drugs, do drugs, consume alcohol etc. I hate that this young lady was killed but the arena security is not at fault. She made some bad decisions that put her in a high risk situation. The ones to blame are the ones that murdered her. Security did their job.
