A Michigan man has pleaded not guilty to federal charges he agreed to buy two tour buses from a Vermont company for $600,000, but then took them without paying for them.
Fifty-four-year-old Seth Murdock of Detroit entered the pleas Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Burlington to charges of wire fraud and interstate transportation of stolen vehicles.
Murdock was arrested by the FBI in Michigan on Sept. 16.
Court document say Murdock agreed to buy the buses from Lamoille Valley Transportation of Morrisville for use by his company Murdock Tours and Travel.
Murdock took possession of the two buses in June 2010, but two companies denied him loans to pay for them.
The Burlington Free Press says the buses were returned Lamoille Valley Transportation damaged and dirty.
