The only entities that should be indicted are the City of NY and the FDNY. It failed to conduct routine inspections. It sent the two firefighters into an abandoned, gutted building for no good reason. Left alone, the fire would quickly have burned out with no risk to adjacent structures. The city allowed the sarcophogus of the gutted Deutsche Bank building to stand for years before demolition began. It stood as a stark reminder of the tragedy long after ground zero was cleared. Had it been demolished in a timely manner, this exposure wouldn’t have languished for almost 9 years post 9/11. Now the rats are scrambling for cover by pointing the fingers at people who had little control over the situation. Typical.
