It’s rarely a single incident that pushes people over the edge. Would be interesting to know more about this guy who made it for 24 years after the alleged event.

He was and adult and it’s doubtful his “estate” relied on him for support or incur any expenses on his behalf. Ostensibly, the estate wants money. The point was made years ago about the issues with some priests. The Catholic church acknowledged a problem and is taking measures to prevent recurrences. So filing suit isn’t going to punish the church or make it more aware. So what exactly is the estate entitled to? I realize the American legal system has always paid “damages” but in a case like this, it seems inappropriate. Money doesn’t always make things better for the survivors.

“Single Incident?” Does the repetitive rape of a child “push people over the edge?” What planet are you from lady? The priest in this case was a convicted pedophile who preyed on children in multiple churches in the Pittsburgh area, abusing them in the confessional boxes, sacristy, rectory and area parks. Boys as young as 8 years old. Do you have children? Close your eyes for a moment and imagine your child being raped by a man and then tell me if that is a just an “incident” that would push YOU over the edge let alone the damage that it would do to your child mentally, physically, spirtiually, and psychologically. People like you make me sick. You are making excuses for the ABUSE of CHILDREN: when all should be done to protect the innocence of children in this world. Pedophiles STEAL the souls of children. There is no PRICE TAG that can be put on it. It is not an INCIDENT as you so lightly put it. It is actually a CRIME in case you do not know. The most deplorable of all crimes in my opinion. For what reason you would call the RAPE of a child an “incident” is beyond me. The church covered this up and this priest was involved in a multi-million dollar settlement with several victims along with other priests who did the same deplorable acts in Pittsburgh. It is disgusting. This just is not some “guy.” He was a success of a person: you know nothing of this “guy” as you call him. It is disgusting that you would paint a victim in a light and act like more should be known about him. Why don’t you want to know more about the priest that was the convicted pedophile. Google his name: Richard Dorsch and you will find out his information easily and be disgusted about him, or maybe you won’t since you view the rape of children as only “incidents.”
