I am ready to get roughed up…$5,000,000 seems fair for the roughed up…..just not for the taxpayers.

    For the following reasons:

    1) He claims the Tipton Falls man did not identify himself as a police officer. Yeah, right. Has that EVER happened?

    2) He claims the Tipton Falls officer was speeding, which is not possible on the Garden State Parkway, the toll booths are way too close together.

Are these troopers saying, if they knew he was a cop they wouldn’t have beat him up?

does any state recognize or reg a police officer’s veh as belonging to a police officer? if so, you would think they knew it was an officer’s vehicle. speeding! yes it’s possible, so don’t even get that idea… interesting how much was awarded…

This would have been a good one for “Cops” or at least the cruisers dash cam. Thought they recorded their stops.

If that was a direct quote then that appears true. However, if is just a lazy journalist it may not be. Best bet for all involved is to stay out of New Jersey.
