so the value went down, does that mean you can now make a profit on it? afterall, what if in a few years that property value goes back to it’s original value, are you then going to payback that tug company for the money they gave you? i don’t think so!! toss this out of court, values of property go up and down for a variety of reasons. now, if you sell the property prior to the restoration of original value, then i can see you getting restitution of some sort, but not all of it. first of all, the shoreline – who does it belong to? the state or the property owner? the shellfish, is a matter of the fisherman getting claim costing them money and salary for their employees. as a landowner – unless you sell it, live with it… over time, things will mend and values will go back…
