Anyone who knows anything about lead paint knows it is harmless unless it is sanded or ingested. Most tenants don’t do home renovations so that only leaves one source ….. ingesting. What parent would allow their small children to eat paint chips? Why does only one race make lead paint claims?

    Missy,
Which “race” would you be referring to? I am not sure one is able to determine that fact just by reading this article.
You should be ashamed of yourself.

I also didn’t see any racial aspect of the article. Can’t help but wonder if they tested the kid’s toys. with all the Chinese imports especially kids products, toys, purses, etc… testing high lead levels I wouldnt be surprised if it wasn’t the paint on the house at all but their own personal property containing the lead. Landlords everywhere should consider that in their defense.

Dear Appalled: having handled hundreds of alleged lead paint poisoning claims I feel comfortable in my statement referencing a “race”. Being PC doesn’t interest me. Being a realist does. If you knew the facts behind the lead paint issue it would help.

“Race” still was not called for in commenting on the article. In the interest of not being PC….you appear to be a bigot.
