Why is it that asians don’t have a problem with the test? Why is it that caucasians who fail the test don’t allege that it’s adiscriminatory test? What’s more important, affirmative action or knowing that the most qualified and highest IQs are the ones who earned a position with the fire department? Which protects us more, a diverse fire department or a fire department with the most qualified applicants selected for the job?

Would you want to fly on an airline that advertises that it put diversity first or one that advertises that it put safety first?

    Hey, I’m just asking questions.

I agree – why do we have to settle for mediocrity. It is a taxpayer paid job, so the taxpayers deserve the most qualified individual, not just to maintain a certain quota of minorities.

Joe & Snowbound..-gotta say it guys; you got it right.
And you know..-in their hearts, those taking advantage of affirmative action or other minority quota programs have GOT TO understand and KNOW that if they aren’t truly the best for the job..-then they shouldn’t be there
