That is the problem with auto weekly pay. Even high comp rate obviously checks went out for quite a while before it was discovered that the injured worker was actually deceased. Even on PPD there should be at least a 3 month diary to make sure benefits aren’t being paid erroneously. Glad the couple were caught but I’ll bet there are others like that out there and we all pay.
