They worship Haile Selassie and “ganja” is a sacrament.

I don’t think every religion needs to be recognized as such.

Pluralism is just another name for polytheism, and no polytheistic nation can survive for long.

The world should not have to accept and conform to every personal whim when it comes to employment with the TSA. If I like to go naked for religious reasons will this enlightend judge rule that my rights were violated?

Rastafarian dread locks are not what the public wants to see on a security person. They may be great for a reggae band, but I don’t want to have the Rasta man searching me. Dreadlocks look dirty and un-professional. What’s next, every immigrant who won’t assimilate can wear the costumes of their native country? I can see it now. Pedro in his serape and sombrero; Hans in his leederhosen and Bavarian cap; Al Quaeda with his face mask and black pajamas. America is doomed.

    Ann,
It depends on what you look like.

The real question – does he have it in writing that his hair could be kept long due to his religious commitment when he was hired? If not, so sad, too bad. He might have found religion after he was asked to clean up.
