If the victim and the assailant are both of legal age(21 & 40) what do underage parties have to do with it?

First off, the “victim” was a consenting adult who was there with her loser 40 year old “boyfriend”. I’m sure the mother was real proud of her daughter for snagging that winner. Now she’s looking for some money. This case should get tossed. Isn’t it comforting to know there are legal whores out there that will shamelessly take any case they can get?

It didn’t matter where it happened if the “boyfriend” was going to kill the “girlfriend” he could have killed her in a back alley if it came down to it – of course then mommy couldn’t collect any money to drown her sorrows. They were both adults – the hotel had no control over their obviously screwed up lives –

    What a joke…

Juan Botello, the murderer, was only 20 when he attended a party at the Sheraton Hotel. He ran into his ex-girlfriend (age 21), tried to win her back and was unsuccessful. He stabbed her and he received 40 years in prison after pleading guilty. The complaint is because the Sheraton did not check ID of the patrons entering this party of young people where there was alcohol present. Had there been adequate security for the party they may have noticed this situation arising. I anticipate a large verdict in favor of the plaintiff in this case if Sheraton attempts to pursue a defense. This 21 year old lady was a very special person and will be loved by jurors.
