Crap…The family probably bought it for her for X-mas…There goes my list! Any warning labels?

Take one senile 80 year old woman with Alzheimers, wrap her in cheap *** robe her loving relatives bought her, leave her alone near an open flame, and POOF.

She was probably incapable of responding to the cuff catching on fire and either did nothing or panicked. If anything, the store should offer to refund the purchase price.

An unfortunate death of an aged lady who most likely had no ability to react to what should have been a more minor problem. Having a legal system that even allows the filing of a 300M claim like this screams loudly and clearly for change. US Lawyers and Judges in general are out of control and have reached the point where their “justice” is too expensive for the country.

I completely agree with JimD. This is ridiculous. Did the robe ignite by itself? Anything will burn if you put it over a flame. This poor lady did not realize she was too close to the flame with her sleeve and could not react fast enough. People will try to get money any way thay can with this system we have. It has got to change.
