I remember when this case happened- most fathers I knew were sympathetic to the lawyer given the alleged abuse. But this just goes to show it’s better to get all the facts- that’s what the police are here for!
As far as his sentence goes- call me old school- but killing someone because you think they’ve been abusing your child is a little different than killing someone for drug money, etc.
Why did the wife say the molestation occurred. On what evidence did she base this accusaion? I know this has nothing to do with the insurance company’s ruling, but common curiosity begs the question.
He was convicted of first degree manslaughter. It was to be a 20 year sentence but the judge suspened 8 years so he is now in prison for 12 years with 5 years probabtion. There is a 5 million dollar lien on his home and the wife is being sued by the estate claiming she made it all up. Not sure where it has gone from there.

Sooooo it’s okay to kill someone because you “think” they molested your child… By your own admission…”isn’t that what the police are for” – to investigate the allegations and then prosecute based on FACT – Too bad for the guy he off-ed when they found out he was actually innocent… Yup.. that made it all better.
