I think a coupon for a free chest scan should be included in every pack of cigarettes. Otherwise how would anyone know they might be harmful?

I can’t believe the court is comparing unseen damages from cigarette smoking to being struck by a vehicle! My 2 year old could tell you that smoking is bad for you! Maybe that’s why cigarette packs come with a warning from the attorney general. I am a smoker and there is no way I would ever put liability for damages from smoking on anyone but myself. I know it’s bad for me but I enjoy it and continue to smoke. What happened to personal responsibility? First obese people sueing McDonalds for being fat, now this. What’s next?

What about Dentists? I remember getting x-rays with no protection. And didn’t they have to radically reduce the amount of radiation those machines emit? I want free cancer screening too!

So what IS next? Scans for our liver to determine if all the alcohol one consumes is causing damage? Again, how can the distributers of these products be held liable if there is a great big NOTICE TO THE CONSUMER? Ridiculous…..

truer words be said, but here’s an interesting issue:

i want the scan, but i still smoke? why should the company be responsible?

now if we use the toxic origins, how many things that are around you that are toxic? i like the earlier statement about the alcohol. if this is a process to use, then we can have the bar pay for my scan for liver checkup! or will that company pay, problem is which one?

would that not be the same for the cigarettes? afterall, are we sure he smoked the same brand the whole time? did he ever smoke a cigar? i think we it’s all done, this is going to run into many other issues that don’t want to be open. then it’s going to get to the supreme court.
