I was a lifeguard once. It was definitely in the manual that we were not supposed to do CPR on any minority children. Gosh isn’t that just common knowledge?

In case you didn’t pick up on it, this is SARCASM

And No, it is not the same pool. Amazing, two news stories about pools in the last week, and they aren’t even the same place. What are the odds.

Thanks for the heads up. My radar failed to ping when I read it. Guess I was naive to think an insurance discussion board wouldnt attract trolls.

I live near wheere the pool that allegedly discriminate agains the kids is. The only thing they did wrong was be stupid enough to let kids from the city of PHILTHadelphia bus into their PRIVATE swim club so that they could promply start behaving like they always do. They terrorized the clum MEMBERS, with no suprevision, as ususal. The members were P.O’d as they should have been and the kids were asked to leave. The group that brought them, by the way, is in arrears fro everything from taxes to unpaid utlities but somehow had $1,900 to pay to the club. Withtheir racist lawsuit nowunderway, i guess this latest worhtless inner city group wil lbe aout of arrears and the kids from the swim club will be out of a, well, swim club. If they really cared about kids as they say they do, they’d drop the lawsuit. But of course, they don’t give a darn what happens to little blue eyed devils from the suburbs

This kid was under water less than 60 seconds (from reading article) because he had a heart attack. Why is the pool responsible for his heart attack related condition? Why didn’t the parents keep their kid at home because of his poor health? If they claim that they did not know he was in poor health, why not? There is nothing in the article that even mentions that he is a minority kid. Would this not be tragic even if the kid was white or asian or whatever? Why is everything tied to racial identity? Why are many Americans hyphenated-Americans? Aren’t we equal-opportunity sympathetic? I thought after we elected Obama that we were a post-racial society? Let’s get with that so we don’t have to ask why.

Amen Puzzled. Heart attack, not drowning is what caused this. The club should sue the parents for the mental anguish on their club members for having to witness a heart attack in the pool. Okay, some sarcasim here, but we all get the point.
