A Massachusetts woman accused of stealing the identities of at least 34 people — including many doctors — is due in court next week following her indictment by a grand jury.
The Middlesex District Attorney’s office says 38-year-old Desiree Gordon faces 67 counts including larceny, forgery, identity fraud and credit card fraud.
Authorities say the investigation began after a physician from Pennsylvania discovered that personal information, including her Social Security number, had been used to obtain a credit card that was mailed to a post office box rented by Gordon in Lowell.
Investigators said Gordon had gained access to a data base of health care professionals, including some of their personal information.
It was not immediately known if Gordon had an attorney.
