Once again the reaction lacks focus on the root cause. Anyone who saw the video clip knows that a herd of mindless human animals caused this guy’s death. If you haven’t seen it please check it out on U-tube. It’s apparent what kind of “people” were involved. They lacked any sense of self-control or regard for others. They stampeded to save a few bucks on things they probably didn’t need. I have a problem holding a retail store responsible for controlling a mob of “supposed” human beings. I doubt it would have made any difference if there were additional security people. Security shouldn’t be there to protect people from themselves. It’s time people start taking personal responsibility for their actions instead of looking for the first target to shift their guilt. Maybe stores should simply stop announcing sales in advance.

Why don’t the “watchdog” groups that have everyone elses best interests at heart (yeah, right) review the videos & contact the people in the crowd to make them pay their portion of the settlement. Dread is correct, additonal security would not have made one bit of a difference.
