Having had a few plastic surgeries myself (and not having any more), I can say that no plastic surgery EVER results in complete 100% perfection. In my own experience, there’s always asymmetry afterwards. Anyone going into PS needs to realize this fact–and then accept it and move on to enjoy life. Weigh what you can and can’t live with–then decide on whether it’s right for you. The problem is that it’s usually the perfectionist who pursues PS–and that’s why they drive themselves crazy afterwards with revisions and lawsuits.

First I would like to say I am sorry for anyone who has had surgery and is unhappy. I do not want to comment on your case but, I would like to tell you my experience with Dr Cap Lesesne.

I had an accident to my upper lip. How I do not care to embellish upon. The whole border and the side of my upper lip were disfigured. I had gone to quite a few plastic surgeons who told me they did not think it could be fixed and turned me away. I could not believe it. I left their office feeling embarrassed to walk down the street and hardly left my house for a year. The accident happened in 2005. In the latter part of 2007 a friend told me about a girl that had a cancer on her upper lip and because of it had a big piece of skin taken out which left her disfigured. I was told she went to a doctor in NYC who did a surgery on her and she was back to normal. Though this friend I was able to call the girl and ask if I could meet with her to see her upper lip and get the name of the doctor who did such a great job on her lip… His name was Cap Lesesne.

I emailed Dr Lesesne and sent pictures. He responded to me and said, “Do not worry Ms. _____ I can help you” Just his email and the hope he gave me, I cannot explain. I made an appointment for a consultation and then my surgery. He explained at that time it may not be an easy task. He would try to correct it in one (1) surgery. I can tell by his mannerisms and the words he choose when he met me that he was sincere in wanting to help me. He apologized that anything like that had happened to me. He even worked with me so my surgery fit into my budget.

After my first surgery I looked really good, like I could go out again and join the world. Since then I have had an additional two (2) surgeries, one just a few days ago to finalize my lip. (Sometimes it may take more than one surgery.) You have to communicate with your doctor. He did his very best each time. In my humble opinion, he is conservative, educated, well mannered, and well experienced and a “Do No Harm” physician. He did not turn me away because I was not a high profile person with a lot of cash. He used his vast expertise to help me.

I read in someone’s comments on Dr Lesesne he had an old not too nice surgery room. My first surgery with him was in his old surgery room on Park Avenue. Do you think I cared if the room was old when this man changed my life? Great surgery room or not it would not have turned out any different because he has a vast amount of experience to draw from. I do not think he would begin a surgery without the knowledge of improvement and as to prior surgeries on the same area and healing that is an individual thing. I know he knew how to fix what other doctors said they could not or would not do. I believe if he could fix something as difficult as myself, then why would he not be able to do surgeries that he has done hundreds of times before?

I am sorry that you feel you did not get what you wanted from Dr Lesesne…. But maybe you should ask yourself and your husband why you are not looking to the first or second doctor who did the surgeries that you did not like prior to Dr Lesesne? In any case I think you should re-analyze your thinking and your motives.

    Thank you for listening.

Poster #5 “…. But maybe you should ask yourself and your husband why you are not looking to the first or second doctor who did the surgeries that you did not like prior to Dr Lesesne?….”
The only way this poster could possibly know that the patient, suing Lesesne, has had sugery with 2 others, is if (s)he is from Lesesne’s office (an attorney would not be as stupid as to give him/herself away in this amateurish way!). The conclusion therefore is that this post is not genuine. What is apparent through -from the plastic surgery forums – is that Dr Lesesne has had to deal with multiple lawsuits (one poster estimates this to stand at 14)from disgruntled patients. That does not make comfortable reading.

The positive posts above are more likely friends or staff of the surgeon. I know of the case and can verify the patient was tied to the operating table for almost 3 hours imminently post surgery.
No responsible so called surgeon would do this.
