afterall, did not his boss tell him to tell the truth and the nothing but the truth? well, aparently even tho he is a shephard of the lord and an elected official — you would have thought he was an honest person, doing the right thing. well, now makes me wonder what he’s been telling his flock?

You can tell he’s a Democrat because we aren’t told he’s a Democrat.

Didn’t you know that the new evangelical psalm is that the lord wants everyone to be successful and rich? the new gospel is that everything will be alright as long as the lord shares the profits. Forget about looking out for the other guy, just throw your money in the air and let the lord take what he wants and you can keep the rest. What does it matter how you got the money, the ends justify the means…..(NOT!).

Al, better re-read what you cut & paste. Appears you are the only narrowminded one here.

Which of you, when tempted, has never made a bad decision? It is so much fun to poke your finger from such a distanced – have your ever attempted to read an article without pronouncing a pompous judgment? This man is human, and humans make mistakes. He made a big one and now has to pay the price – there is no glossing over this action, but there is forgiveness for the act that he performed. He is disgraced before God and man, but only God extended an oppertunity for repentence and return to his community as a better man!

He already failed the first temptation: he’s supposed to be a Christian minister, yet as a Democrat in good standing must deny Christian moral tenents to get elected. So since he lept over that hurdle already, nothing else he does should be surprising. Is he a liar and a thief? Yes, but so what? He’s a Democrat, so he isn’t a hypocrite when he lies and steals. What he deserves therefore is not prison but a group hug.
