Wish we could get that law in Fla.
Now if they would just make the penalty severe enough for being caught driving w/out a license.
Personally, I think it should be a felony the 1st time someone gets behind the wheel without one. Worse if you’ve had your license taken away for violations.
Severe fines for citizens. Deportation for illegals.

i agree, but here’s the problem:

how are you going to enforce it? if they come up to the DMV w/o, do we have a paddywagon on site to remove you from the premises and into the jail? this way we can start the process of illegals and deport? where’s the cost in this going to come from? will homeland security start paying and removing those folks from our land of opportunity and give the true legal settlers an opportunity to work w/o the illegals taking cheap labor jobs.

It would be simple if the taxpayers had anything to say about it. Take the cost of deporting them out of the welfare handouts we give them. A bus to the border is cheaper then food stamps, WIC, medicare, etc.

I’m just tired of it. An drunk illegal with no license drove through my yard and hit a tree. He was allowed to walk away. Can’t even ask him for legal status thanks the to ACLU.

Living in S Fla has become a United Nations depot instead of a part of the United States. No one wants to speak English, no one wants to hire anyone that only speaks English. Cops are in trouble every other day because they pull people over who can’t understand them. (I’m betting some of them can, but they know if they scream ‘No English’ they’ll walk) We had a law on the books that stated that basic English was a requirement for a license. ACLU kicked that. They get picked up time and time again for no license. Thousands in fines that they’ll never pay. AND they won’t stop driving. IF we found out they were illegal and sent them home, it would save a lot more then it would cost in repeated traffic stops, court hearings, bench warrants because they don’t show up for court appearances, arrests, and, I’ll say it again, welfare. Not to mention that auto insurance down here is ridiculous due to the number of no license uninsureds down here. And then you have the damage they do when they hit people who have no recourse because they don’t ‘legally’ exist.
Cheaper all the way around the get them out of the US the first time they are picked up.

i agree, we need to stop giving things away to those that are not americans. we have plenty here otherwise. lived in fl, i was mad when they made it mandatory for my son to learn spanish in kindergarten. WHAT FOR?! english is the main language and kids at that age need to learn it. let them learn foreign languages at high school or from their family.
