Mass. May End Auto Insurance Appeals; Agents Balk

    The ability to appeal a surcharge is the only recourse any at fault driver might have when they have been surcharged and it may not have been their fault. If we allow the insurance company to extend this courtesy, and not the appeals board, several drivers will be forced of the road because of increased rates. These companies are not going to remove a surcharge if profit is paramount. This is an irresponsible decission on the commisioners part that again gives the insurance company all of the leverage. Again, more derregulation at the expense of the customer. w
