    All this country is interested in putting people in jail, and taking there money they seem to be helpless in solving the drug trade and if they really wanted they could abolish alcohol, but like smoking all they want is the taxes, no wonder this country is going to pot

    If this guy had a suspended license, would he be also charged for driving while suspended? If he had no license at all, would he be charged for drivig a bicycle without a license? How can they tie having a motor vehicle license to driving a bicycle? Kids don’t have licences. Public drunkeness or contributing to the accident maybe but this just does not make sense.

    I would like to point out that operating a bicycle on a public road subjects you to the same rules of the road as someone operating a motor vehicle. The reason his punishment is stern is that this is his second offense. While I applaud this man for not operating a vehicle, he is still creating a hazard for others on the road.

    And Mark, the country going to pot was a humorous and likely unintentional pun. At least alcohol in limited quantities is legal…
