Are things that bad that you need to steal Insurance Company furniture? Really. Who would buy that stuff anyway.
next time, go to the brokers office. They have nice stuff.
geez
I don’t know the full story, but hopefully they weren’t that dumb to steal an insurance companies’ actual furniture…maybe they were buying all new good stuff and charging it to the Hartford’s account…but, criminals are stupid…no law against stupidity, but there is against theft!
Left Hartford earlier this year and the office furniture was pretty lousy. Guy must have been desperate. Good comment about brokers offices being nicer, very true. I was embarrassed to bring agents to our office.
Chairs looking like orange plastic bowls with chrome legs are back in again, along with fake woodgrain topped army desks. He may have been on to something.
Don’t they have some pretty valuable antique furniture on display. I seem to remember an old desk that Lincoln used and some Mark Twain stuff and none of it seemed all that well protected from after hours theivery.
C’mon guys..this sounds like a PUBLICITY STUNT. I mean, it reminds me of like when Ralph Kramden & Ed Norton were doing stupid stuff. Like the “thief” brings the junk home and tells his wife, “Hey Honey lookit the swell stuff I glombed from the Hartford today”
Yeah: She gives him the finger and calls Geico

No kidding. Our stuff here is crap. Who’d want it?
ours is pretty crappy too.
Just think about it – stealing from an insurnace company. I wonder if they put in a claim and what were the values they declared? Hummmm.
We buiilt a new office 7 years ago and our “new” stuff is just falling apart. I guess no one in insurance ever gets the good stuff.
